Sara Nuru
Social Entrepreneur, Model and Author
On April 29, 2026, the TUM Speakers Series welcomed Sara Nuru, Social Entrepreneur, Model and Author to the Rudolf-Diesel-Hörsaal at TUM’s Garching campus for an insightful talk and discussion.
As part of the double event with Samantha Cristoforetti on TUM Sustainability Day, we had the honour of welcoming Sara Nuru. In her keynote titled “Who does Progress Serve? Rethinking Growth in a Changing World”, she shared insights from a career of self-reinvention.
A sustainability ambassador and co-founder of nuruCoffee, she spoke about her journey from Germany's Next Topmodel to building a coffee brand that funds women entrepreneurs in Ethiopia through microloans. A Karl Kübel Prize laureate and BMZ ambassador, she showed what it looks like to turn personal reinvention into systemic impact.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, our moderator Kate Weber, and the whole team of the TUM Speakers Series for making this extraordinary evening possible!
