On July 12, 2022, the TUM Speakers Series was honoured with welcoming Stefan Vilsmeier, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Brainlab, to the Immatrikulationshalle at TUM Main Campus for an impressive keynote as well as moderated talk.

As our last event of the 2022 summer semester we had the great pleasure of listening and learning from a key figure in the field of medical technologies: Stefan Vilsmeier.

After a nice and warm welcoming speech from TUM Vice President Prof. Juliane Winkelmann, Stefan shared his story of transforming one single innovation into a large scale enterprise and shared insights of his very successful entrepreneurial career.

In the second part of the event he discussed questions regarding the medical sector with our moderator Yannik Kaiser, covering different topics from regulatory changes in the field, over digitalisation of operation rooms to an outlook on possible disruptors breaking into the industry. 

To round the event off, Stefan and his team stayed on campus to network with our guests and exchange ideas during an after-event with food and drinks in TUM’s courtyard.
