On December 3, 2025, the TUM Speakers Series proudly welcomed Johannes Müller, Head of Sustainability and Communications at Airbus Defence and Space, to the Immatrikulationshalle at TUM’s main campus for an insightful keynote and discussion.

As our last event of 2025 we had the pleasure of listening to the thoughts and perspectives of a key figure at one of the biggest players in the aerospace and defence sector, as well as exchanging and discussing questions and ideas from the audience.

In his keynote titled “Defence Unfiltered: People, Trust and Europe’s Geopolitical Reality” he provided the audience with valuable perspectives and insights on probably the hottest topic right now: The currently shifting state of Europe’s geopolitical security. On top of his expertise in the area from his career at Airbus he also provided us with personal stories and insights from his first-hand experiences as a freelance conflict photographer, leading him to different regions of conflict all around the world.

In the second part of the event he answered questions prepared by our moderator Kate Weber through a moderated talk as well as a rapid-fire format, creating an entertaining atmosphere to round the talk off.

As the final part of our evening, our attendees had the chance to ask their questions, which Johannes thoroughly answered in a Q&A session turned discussion. A great way to end the event!
