On February 17, 2017, the TUM Speakers Series welcomed Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as Dr. Gerd Müller, German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development to the Audimax of TUM Main Campus.

As part of our collaboration with Munich Security Conference (MSC) we had the extraordinary honour of hosting an insightful discussion on global development, with a special scope on the continent of Africa.

Under the title Shaping Global Development Bill Gates, Dr. Gerd Müller, Melinda Crane (Deutsche Welle) and our moderator Nicki Weber discussed different approaches and ideas on sustainable and long lasting initiatives for development through cooperation with different African regions and countries to improve their long-term situations. Thus providing our audience with valuable ideas and thoughts on this important matter.
