Luisa Neubauer
Climate Activist, Fridays for Future
On October 31, 2023, the TUM Speakers Series welcomed Luisa Neubauer, Germany’s most prominent climate activist, to the Audimax at TUM’s main campus for a keynote and discussion.
As our first event of the 2023/24 winter semester we had the chance to listen and learn from one of the most sophisticated and inspirational climate advocates in Germany: Luisa Neubauer.
The event titled Summer In October - Is Climate Action Too Late? started with a welcoming speech by TUM’s Vice President for Sustainable Transformation, Prof. Werner Lange.
Afterwards Luisa Neubauer held her plea for immediate climate action and shared her thoughts through her keynote Ending Fossil Fuels.
The event concluded with a moderated discussion between her and our moderator Katrin Kösler in which Luisa shared insights from her life as climate activist, author and student at the same time as well as how she deals with the criticism and even hate she is constantly receiving online. She also further elaborated on the role of Germany in climate action.
A sincere thank-you to Luisa Neubauer, Prof. Werner Lange and everyone who contributed to making this special evening possible.
